Redline RL-600 Brake Fluid is a synthetic DOT 4 fluid built for both street and track use. Its dry boiling point reaches 601°F (316°C), and its wet boiling point holds at 394°F (201°C). Red Line engineered it to maintain viscosity, lubricity, and low compressibility at extreme temperatures. That protects against brake fade and vapor lock during hard use. Many enthusiasts switch to RL-600 as a straightforward upgrade over stock DOT 4 fluid.
This fluid delivers a firm, consistent pedal or lever feel whether you’re on the street or the track. It conforms to and exceeds current U.S. FMVSS No. 116 DOT 4 and SAE J1704 specifications. Its low viscosity at -40°C, just 1414 cSt, also keeps it flowing smoothly in cold conditions. A near-neutral pH of 7.19 helps protect seals over the fluid’s service life. It’s a great match for daily-driven performance cars that also see the occasional track day. It doesn’t demand the frequent bleeding a pure racing fluid needs.
RL-600 blends with standard DOT 4 fluid and meets its specification. However, blending with other fluids may compromise its exceptional performance, so it’s best not to mix brands or types. For the same reason, avoid topping up with an unrelated brake fluid mid-season if you can help it. Bleeding your system fully with fresh RL-600 gives the most consistent results.
This 500ml bottle covers a full brake system bleed for most cars and bikes. If you push your car harder or more often, Redline’s RL700 Racing Brake Fluid offers an even higher boiling point.
