Redline High Temp ATF is a fully synthetic automatic transmission fluid. It’s built for heavily loaded vehicles like tow rigs and RVs. It withstands operating temperatures up to 70°F higher than a standard ATF, while keeping a thicker viscosity for demanding conditions.
Towing and RV use generates more heat inside the transmission than typical driving. As fluid temperature rises, viscosity naturally thins, which can allow metal-to-metal contact under load. Because High Temp ATF holds a thicker film at these temperatures, it maintains its protective barrier. A standard ATF would not.
This fluid suits any application that calls for Dexron II, Dexron III, Ford Mercon, Mercon V, or GL-4 gear oil. Because it resists oxidation and evaporates far less than conventional fluids, it prevents varnish buildup on valves and clutches. This stops the shifting problems that varnish causes under extreme heat. Consequently, it also supports extended drain intervals.
Redline’s ATF lineup is fully synthetic. Each fluid is built for improved thermal stability, consistent viscosity, and lower volatility. This High Temp version takes that further, so it holds its frictional characteristics under sustained load. A viscosity index of 220 means it keeps a stable viscosity across a wide temperature range. Its pour point of -51°C (-60°F) also keeps it flowing freely in cold conditions. This fluid is also available in Gallon and 5-Gallon sizes for larger jobs or fleet use.
